We’ve heard before that Fox was interested in getting on iTunes, and now it seems a deal has been worked out– Family Guy has appeared on iTunes. Now you can watch the Griffins (including Stewie, definitely my favourite) on your Apple TV, iPod, or iPhone.

Episodes cost the normal $1.99. Currently there is only one episode up for grabs, but no doubt that more will be coming soon.

Apple has posted iTunes 7.4.2 for Mac and Windows today.
What’s New in this Version
iTunes 7.4.2 addresses an issue with creating ringtones using iTunes Plus song purchases and includes bug fixes to improve stability and performance.

Apple recently introduced 7.4.1 on September 7th. The 7.4.1 update had disabled a workaround that allowed users to create their own ringtones out of any song. No word on whether or not the 7.4.2 update causes any problems with unofficial ringtones.

With the latest release of iTunes, there is now the facility for you to buy ringtones and upload them to your cool Apple iPhone. These ringtones will cost 99 cents each for the 30 second snippet of the song.

Personally we don’t think it’s worth it, as there are other ways of getting iPhone ringtones for free.
For Free iPhone Ringtones
Last week we read that all officially purchased ringtones have the .M4R extension, so all you have to do is rename any AAC file to a M4R extension file to get it to show up in iTunes under Ringtones.
Simple and yet so easy
